We are a multi-generational church family, being healed, equipped, and sent to share Christ’s love.
Sojourn is a church that wants to see its community spiritually alive: people loving and serving Jesus; students from all over the world, finding their purpose and serving Jesus wherever their lives take them.

Grace filled identity
Knowing who we really are “in Christ” is a critically important truth to understand, and this truth will propel us to freedom and security. Most people today base their identity on their jobs, their looks, possessions, or their so-called “success” in life. God wants us to be fully convinced of our true identity as his sons and daughters, chosen by him and loved completely. What this means is a deep understanding and conviction that we are significant, we are accepted, and that we are secure — not just because someone says so, but because God created us, sent his Son to die for us, and offers Himself to us daily as a loving Father. Many people today come from broken families where the concept of a loving father or mother are perhaps foreign concepts. Our church stands ready to love people back to health and to help them transform the feelings of worthlessness into a deep conviction of significance.
Transformational Relationships
You weren’t intended to live your life in isolation, and this is especially true when it comes to living out your faith. At Sojourn, we value relationships because we know that God uses our connections and interactions with other people to transform us into the people He created us to be. This value is expressed in our authenticity with one another. When you have committed and trusting relationships, you don’t have to pretend that life is perfect when it isn’t. Instead, we share what is really going on in our lives and experience support and healing. Through these relationships, we are able to call out one another’s gifting and help each other see God’s purpose for our lives. We encourage one another to live out the dreams God has given us. We also make time to get together in one another’s homes throughout the week, gathered around a shared mission of becoming more like Jesus and inviting others to join us on the journey.
Missional Community
Discovering our gifts and passions will then allow us to take the next step — reaching out to a broken world and actually making a difference. We see our Church Body as a launching pad for people who want to take the love of Christ and share it in practical ways – in our neighborhoods, our workplaces, our campuses, and to the four corners of the earth. We believe that each person has unique giftings that God can use to touch others, whether that be helping to feed the hungry, giving shelter and hope to the orphan, expressing truth through the arts, or sharing the good news of Jesus to our neighbors. We organize and send out teams to local campuses, connect with non-profits to sponsor children in need, and set up missions trips to foreign countries to share the love of God. Let us help you discover your place in this exciting endeavor, whether it be supporting financially, praying for fruitfulness, or being part of a team. There is nothing more fulfilling than giving hope, truth, food, and care to someone in need.
Prayer for all nations
To be intercessors in prayer is a foundational calling we've received from the Lord. Throughout our entire history, our weekly prayer meetings have been the "furnace," the power source for transformational change in our lives and those whom we pray for. Jesus also calls us to pray for all peoples of all nations, seeing our role as calling out to the Lord on behalf of all people groups, both here in our city and around the world. God has provided powerful answers to prayer, showing us that he is our provider and our healer.
Equipping for Life
Jesus called us to make disciples of all nations (not just converts)! For us, this entails training new believers in the basic principles of God's word and equipping seasoned Christians with the knowledge, training, and tools to bear fruit for God's kingdom, using the gifts and passions that he has provided them. We have educational classes and programs for children, youth, and adults in a variety of settings. One-on-one mentoring is also available for those desiring personal coaching and encouragement and healing. We also provide a 3 month long series entitled Restoring Wholeness, for people who have experienced relationaly or sexual brokeness in their lives.
Glorifying God
We were created to worship and glorify our Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ. For our church body, this means experiencing worship times every Sunday morning when we come together, but also every day in our personal lives, as we seek to yield ourselves to Him, in order to bring honor and praise to His name. To glorify God, in its most simplest terms, means to make Him happy. To give him joy. To give all the credit for anything good in our lives, and everything beautiful in creation, to our great and majetic Lord.
OUR CORE BELIEFS
There is one true God, the Creator of heaven and earth. He has further revealed Himself as one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. The Scriptures declare His deity, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutionary work on the cross, His bodily resurrection from the dead, and His exaltation to the right hand of God.
The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.
Men and Women were created good and upright. However, by voluntary sin they fell and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God.
Men and Women’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Salvation is received by repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ, being justified by grace through faith, and thus becoming an heir of God, unto eternal life.
As believers, we are encouraged to be filled with the Holy Spirit in order to be witnesses of Jesu Christ, to partake of his grace, and to walk in obedience to him, following the two greatest commandments: to love God above all and to love people as ourselves.
The church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of His great commission. The Threefold purpose of the Church is (1) Evangelization of the word, (2) Worship of God, (3) Building a body of saints being perfected in the image of His Son. We see our church as a place of healing the broken, encouraging the hopeless, and equipping the faithful.
Divine healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers.
The Resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is the imminent and blessed hope of the church.
There will be a final judgment in which the dead will be raised and judged. Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life will be consigned to everlasting punishment, cast away from the presence of God.
